No thanks, I'm good.Check out this totally awesome Deadpool tee by SuperheroStuff
Deadpool 2 is THE most highly anticipated superhero movie sequels ever and already people are eager to learn more about the project. One question that always get’s asked is: Will Cable be in the movie?
The next is: who will the villain of the movie be?
I have an idea of who I want and I don’t think you’re going to like it.
I’m just gonna come right out and say it: I want the Deadpool 2 villain to be…
Nazi Captain America!!!!
I’m joking, of course. I do not want to see a Nazi Captain America on any medium, at any level.
No, I want some one a little cooler…
Okay, okay, I MAY be a little biased in this one considering The Taskmaster is my favourite villain of all time, but hear me out okay?
Firstly, you may be wondering: who IS the Taskmaster? What can he do? If you are, shame on you. He’s one of Marvel’s greatest villains of all time. Well, not really, but I LOVE him.
The Taskmaster started out as a mysterious figure with a secretive origin story. He posses the ability to mimic the physical movements of anybody he witnesses and therefore is able to reproduce their fighting style. He carries a replica shield like Captain America’s, a bow and arrow like Hawkeye and a sword like the Swordsman and Black Knight.
In the late 2000’s, the Taskmaster received his own mini-series from Marvel, where it is revealed that The Taskmaster was actually a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent who inflicted an injury during the line of duty, which affected his memory.
He turned to becoming a super villain at some point and specialised in training up more nefarious villains goons and henchmen.
After the first Marvel Civil War and when the Initiative lead by Norman Osborn came to power, The Taskmaster was assigned the task of training up buddy new superheroes and later took part in the Siege of Asgard.
Pretty cool, right?
Okay, let me explain my thinking about this one: you have a man who can replicate ANY fighting style by ANYONE. He can also predict movement, so essentially can telegraph blows. He has control and skill.
Deadpool has serious skill too, but control isn’t something you’d usually associate with the man. He’s chaos, he’s a firecracker who will go to any lengths to kill you, because, you know he CAN. His healing ability will take anything and everything The Taskmaster will throw at him and that’s the true beauty of pairing these two up.
It would be epic, right?
*crickets*
Right, guys???
There are a couple of drawbacks to this choice.
The first is, I don’t think Fox have the rights to The Taskmaster character. Could they do a deal with Marvel to use him? Possibly. I wouldn’t say it was completely out of the question.
The second is, I have no idea how Cable would play into this. The Taskmaster is a cool character, but it shouldn’t take the help of a solider from the Future to help Deadpool stop him.
Hmmmm.
ANYWAY, that was my choice for villain despite it all and apparently Ed Skrein (the actor who portrayed AJAX in the first Deadpool movie) agree’s with my choice.
