The Killing Joke: Mark Hamill Wants In

Batman Animated Movie | The Killing Joke

Last week, we revealed that The Killing Joke will be the next Batman Animated Movie, now the REAL Joker wants in.

Somewhat controversial, a lot of people consider Mark Hamill, when portraying the Joker in the majority of Batman animated projects, to be the BEST Joker around. A lot of people say Heath Ledger and there’s a valid case for that statement. Other people say Jack Nicholson, but I just think he played Jack Nicholson with face paint in that movie – BUT THAT’S JUST ONE GEEKS OPINION.

A rather talented geek with too much time on his hands recently created this image (So Geekin’ Awesome social followers will have already seen this):

The Jokers | So Geekin' Awesome

ANYWAY, slightly off topic there.

As most already know, the Batman Animated movies haven’t been the same since Hamill stopped voicing the character; don’t get me wrong, the movies on the whole are good, but you can’t help but feel there’s still a little something missing.

On the other hand, the Batman Arkham games have been coming on leaps and bounds with popularity. I’ll grant you, a lot of that is down to the fact that they are just awesome to play, but I’d wager a small, contributing role has to go to the awesomeness of The Joker in those games. Voiced by none other than the man himself: Mark Hamill.

Whatever the case, it seems Hamill wants back in on the DC animated world, by indicating on Twitter that he wants in on The Killing Joke.

You're not the only one w/ fingers crossed! https://t.co/PcKlgRQFaU

The embed thing cuts off the fan’s (Randal Conger-Best) tweet, which actually reads:

@HamillHimself I really hope @DCComics contacts you about #TheKillingJoke. It’d be beyond amazing. -fingers crossed-

I think I can speak for every geek out there when I say this: YES PLEASE!

What do you think?
