Rejoice fellow geeks! The Dark Tower Movie is happening – for realzies this time!
The adaptation of Stephen King’s epic Dark Tower series has been in the pipelines for a number of years now. First as a movie, then as a miniseries and then back to a movie. It has been close to being made so many times now, fans dare not get their hopes too high about the movie actually happening.
But now they can and they can also rejoice, because they’ve got the making’s of an awesome cast there too.

So cool, right? Idris will play The Gunslinger and McConaughey will portray the mystical Man in Black.
In an awesome Interview with Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King is glad the movie is finally happening.
“The thing is, it’s been a looong trip from the books to the film,” King says. “When you think about it, I started these stories as a senior in college, sitting in a little sh-tty cabin beside the river in Maine, and finally this thing is actually in pre-production now.” He laughs. “I’m delighted, and I’m a little bit surprised.”
But King’s Dark Tower series consists of an epic 8 books. Can we expect a condensed version of those eight for just one movie? Or will there be more movies going forward? At this stage, we just don’t know.
But I can’t wait to find out. What about you guys?
