Yesterday, we got a little bit more information regarding the forthcoming Marvel Defenders Netflix show, as well as some Jessica Jones Season 2.
It’s fantastic, check it out.
Some of my geek friends didn’t like Jessica Jone. Can you believe that?
Coming off the sheer adrenaline rush that was Daredevil, they labelled the show as ‘boring’ and promptly moved on. I mean, seriously.
Of course, Daredevil was absolutely awesome and if push came to shove, it is my favourite out of the two shows, but that doesn’t mean Jessica Jones is boring. Far from it. It was fantastic.
It’s one of the best detective shows that has ever been on TV and David Tennant as the villain of the piece was absolutely phenomenal. Season 2 can’t come around soon enough and funnily enough, I have an update on that.
Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter was recently interviews by Digital Spy, where she revealed that Jessica Jones Season 2 would be filmed directly after The Defenders.
“They’ll be back-to-back. I don’t know if they’ll overlap a little bit. It’s about to be a serious undertaking. I’m starting my physical training—lots of weight training and boxing.”
That’s good news, right? Kinda. At least we know precisely when the show will be filmed. However, as I’ve previously reported, The Defenders isn’t scheduled to shoot until the end of the year.
So what does that mean? It means we’re not likely to see Jessica Jones season 2 until some point next year. Maybe this time next year.
Damn.
