The DC movie universe is expanding. Looking to replicate the success of the Marvel Movie Universe, DC are rapidly expanding their movie upcoming schedule to fit in most DC favourites.
In 2020, they’ve scheduled a Green Lantern Corps movie and reports are it’s going to contain more than just Hal Jordan on its roster.

The news comes from the entirely awesome Latino Review Website who say their sources suggest that the movie will contain 3 Green Lanterns from Earth.
They asked the question because they were curious as to whether there would be a Green Lantern in the upcoming Justice League movie as there has been no official announcement yet. The response they got from their sources is not something they expected.
“The Green Lantern Corps movie in 2020 won’t just feature Hal Jordan and John Stewart–the two most popular Green Lanterns–but also Kyle Rayner was name-dropped as a third Green Lantern from Earth to appear in the film. Another big takeaway is the age of these Lanterns, namely Hal Jordan. who the studio wants to be in the age range of, say, Matt Damon. The other two will be younger.”
Pretty awesome, right? Also, throwing around the name Matt Damon in that manner? Pretty clear on who they want for the role. Obviously, a lot can happen between now and 2020 (sounds like date from a damned sci-fi movie doesn’t it? God, I feel old) but with the expectation of Hal Jordan being cast for the Justice League movie, the Matt Damon aspect of their information may not be all that far away.
Hopefully, the Green Lantern Corps will feature a more expansive look at the Green Lantern Corps and won’t focus too much on the events taking place on Earth.
