“The Defenders” Tee Available to buy @ Teepublic
There has been a question on every comic book geek’s lips ever sine Marvel ventured into Netflix with the first season of Daredevil – will we ever get to see these Netflix marvel heroes in the Marvel Movie Universe?
The directors of Avengers: Infinity War may very well have given us an answer.
Before I get screamed at, I know we already have TV/Movie overlap in the Marvel Movie Universe.
We have Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which features Agent Coulson and has included Sif, Nick Fury and Maria Hill to name but a few over the years.
We also had the Agent Carter show, whose main character Peggy Character has been prominent in Captain America’s Marvel Movie storyline’s.
That’s great and there are great characters in these series, but people REALLY want to see the street level, super cool heroes which are developing at Netflix in the Marvel Movie Universe.
And the groundwork is already there.
Early into the Daredevil series, there was talk of the occurrences in the Avengers movie and throughout Jessica Jones the existence of “other heroes” and have been mentioned amongst other things.
But will we ever see Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage or Iron Fist in the Marvel Movie Universe?
In a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, the Russo Brothers – director’s of Avengers: Infinity War – were asked this very burning question.
“We do consider everyone,” Anthony Russo told reporter Steve Tilley. “We don’t want to get too specific about what’s going to happen with these movies. We want these movies to be a surprise for audiences.”
Okay, so no definitive answer but what can you expect?
They’re not going to give it away at this early stage, but they have tipped their hats. They MAY very well consider The Defenders for the movie and given that Avengers: Infinity War is set contain A LOT of Marvel heroes, could it really be out of the realms of possibility for The Defenders to at least get a cameo.
Judging for Anthony Russo’s comments, the answer is no: it’s not out of the realms of possibility.
