Daredevil news alert, folks!
As you may or may not already know, Jon Bernthal has been cast as Frank Castle AKA The Punisher in season 2 of the hit Netflix show Daredevil and it looks like he’s really getting into the role.
Can you say Awesomeo?
I think MOST fans were pleased when it was announced that Jon Bernthal would portrayed Frank Castle in season 2 of Daredevil. I had my doubts, but they weren’t based around the actor more the fact that I was worried that the show writers were just throwing big Marvel characters at the show to cause even more of a splash than season 1 did. Maybe I’m being too pessimistic.
Ultimately, I’m behind Bernthal as The Punisher. He’s got the acting chops for it and as we’ve seen from The Walking Dead – he’s got the crazy killer character down.
Now I – and fellow Daredevil fans – have even more to love Bernthal for. The man is doing his homework on the character.

And not only is he doing his homework, he’s doing the right kind of homework reading up on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s Punisher War Zone books. What a run those two had with The Punisher.
If that’s Bernthal’s source material, then I’m sold. He’s the man for the job.
