Captain America: Now a Nazi???

For those of you who somehow haven’t seen this in the news feeds and from epic comic book geek rants, there maybe spoilers ahead (if you haven’t worked it already from this spoilerific title and picture).

Basically, in the new Captain America comic book title, bombshell has been dropped. That bombshell is: Cap has been a Hydra Agent all along.

Yeah, you read that.

A lot people hate this. Not just because it’s moronic, but because of all the sentiment that goes a long with it. After all, it’s basically saying that Captain America is a Nazi, the very character that was created as a propaganda agent in the second world war.

I can understand why it’s ruffling some feathers. But they can’t kill him AGAIN or make him lose his powers AGAIN. This is the next step to drive sales. Whether this is too controversial that it’ll have the opposite effect has yet to be seen (but I’d wager highly likely).
