After weeks of uncertainty, it appears a certain someone WILL be returning to Doctor Who for the 9th season.
Peter Capaldi confirmed he’d be back to play the doctor next year some time back, but his co-star Jenna Coleman has been suspiciously quiet on her future involvement as latest companion Clara Oswald, prompting many to speculate whether her return to the hit sci-fi series entirely unlikely.
Now, it seems, that rumour can be put to bed.
According to the British news paper The Daily Mirror, Jenna Coleman has had a “change of heart” and will return for the first half of season 9, prompting the script writers to rip up their work and began afresh in order to include Clara.
“When it came to Clara, they had to tear them up and start again,” A source close to the set told the newspaper. “In the original draft of the script, she became an old woman who then died with the Doctor at her side. But after they were rewritten, she will now be seen returning to the Tardis, hand in hand with the Doctor.”
Pretty cool, huh?
