The Dr Strange movie is almost a month away from cinematic release and already the actor who portrays Dr Strange himself, Benedict Cumberabtch, is teasing where the Sorcerer Supreme will appear next.
So will the good Doctor be in the next Avengers movie? I think that’s a pretty high possibility after Cumberbatch’s latest comments.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, next month’s edition of Empire Movie magazine contains an interview in which Benedict Cumberbatch drops a massive hint. One so huge, it’s hard to deny what’s staring you right in the face, even if there’s no official confirmation of anything yet.
Dr Strange will be in the 2018 Avengers: Infinity War movie.
The confirmation came from an innocent enough question. “What’s next for the character?” they said.
He replied, “…Strange would have to deal with the challenge of aligning his schedule with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany”.
All of whom will appear in the next Avengers movie. It’s not exactly the most subtle of teases.
“To get us all together will be quite something,” he tells Empire. “That’s why this character is being introduced, to open up the next chapter. So watch this space to see how that unfolds.”
The next Avengers villains is thought to be Thanos. He comes from space. Cumberbatch said “watch this space”. Coincidence, I think not.
