Rumours on the grapevine suggest that the Marvel Movie universe has cast its Captain Marvel.
I hope this is true, because she’s one hell of an actress.
The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, who suggest that Oscar-winning actress Brie Larsson of The Room fame is the hot favourite to take the role.
Now THAT is one helluva awesome casting choice – am I right?
But hold up – the Captain Marvel news gets even better. Whilst the project currently has no director, it has two totally awesome writers in the form of Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve.
Perlman co-wrote the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie and LeFauve was the co-writer of Disney’s Inside Out. Both completely awesome movies, I’m sure you’ll agree.
The nuts and bolts of it is: the Captain Marvel appears to be in good hands and I hope the choice of director will strengthen the already strong team.
I hope the casting of Brie Larsson is confirmed pretty soon, so we can all celebrate.
