Awesome news everyone! We have Kingsman 2 news and it’s pretty fantastical.
From the same comic book writer that brought us Wanted, Kickass and Marvel’s Civil War (which will be the foundation behind Captain America: Civil War) to name but a few, Kingsman: The Secret Service was a brilliant and surprising movie.
In fact, the movie cleared up some things from the comic book I had a real problem with and it isn’t all that often THAT happens in comic book movies. Matthew Vaughan knows what he’s doing and I’m absolutely certain that Kingsman 2 will be at the very least a respectable sequel.
Kingsman 2 will see Taron Egerton and Mark Strong reprise their respective roles, as well as Julianne Moore as the villain of the piece and Halle Berry as the head of a secret US intelligence organisation joining the cast for new roles.
In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, director Matthew Vaughan revealed that the title of the sequel will be Kingsman: The Golden Circle and regarding the plot, he said:
“I didn’t know if I wanted to direct this or not. I was worried about the villain. Spy films are only as good as their villains. Then one morning I woke up with the whole storyline in place, and a new villain plot”.
Sounds promising, right?
He also responded to the question on everyone’s minds: will there be another church scene (because that was epic)?
You try not to read what people want, but they do want another church sequence. I have no reason for another massacre to happen. But I have other sequences you’ve never seen before.
THAT sounds even better! Visually, Kingsman: Secret Service was epic. There were a number of epics sequences, not just the church scene, but pretty much all of the action scenes.
I have a good feeling about this sequel – what about you guys?
