Looks like Warner Bros. is pretty confident that Suicide Squad is going to be a hit, because a number of reports are suggesting that Suicide Squad 2 has already been greenlit.
The news comes from ComicBookMovie, that Warner Bros. is so happy with the movie and the hype surrounding the movie that the sequel is already being scheduled.
In fact, Warner Bros. have gone a couple of steps further in trying to secure director David Ayer and Will Smith for the second outing, with a view to actually shooting the movie next year.
That’s pretty cool, right? Not sure. I’ll reserve judgement for now.
Don’t get me wrong, the trailes were AWESOME, but when watching them there was always a bit of me thnking “this could quickly go wrong if they don’t pull it off right”. In my mind, it’s on a the precipice, but I’m more than happy to be completely wrong about this one.
