Okay. Brace yourselves. It seems like Iron First has been cast for the Netflix Iron First and Defenders shows.
How awesome is that?
I know that’s what you’re all thinking. I mean, it’s not being widely reported at the moment. That’s because the actor portraying Danny Rand AKA Iron Fist hasn’t been named yet.
But the news comes from a reliable source; it comes from Mr Luke Cage himself, Mike Colter. In an amazing interview with Collider (which you really need to read BTW) involving the cast members of Jessica Jones, talk moved away from Jessica Jones Season 2 and onto future Netflix shows, including Luke Cage, The Defenders and, yeah you guessed it, Iron Fist.
When asked about the scenes between Luke Cage and Iron Fist, the whole Iron Fist has been cast comment came up. Colter said:
“The actor has been cast, but he’s in a basement somewhere. When the time is right, they’ll let him up and tell him where he is. I am [excited]. I’ll get a nice little break, after doing Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Whether I’m in [his show], I don’t know, but there’s The Defenders.”
Cool, right? I’m SO excited about the future of the Netflix Marvel Universe it’s untrue.
