Fargo is a TV adaptation that just shouldn’t have worked. On paper, it looked like a shameless exploitation of a classic Coen Brother masterpiece that would never live up to it’s original source material.
But it did work and it THRIVED, quickly becoming one of the most critically acclaimed TV shows over the last couple of years.
Now, most of the way through the second season the show is still going strong but it begs the question: what about Fargo Season 3?
That question has just been answered.
Today is has been confirmed by The Hollywood Report that the impressive Fargo TV show has been picked up for a third season, and rightfully so.
Following the explosive first season, the second season took a step back and in the wrong direction, deciding to be a prequel featuring some of the younger characters from the first season.
Before the season aired, I was hoping and praying we wouldn’t have a True Detective on our hands: an incredible first season, followed by a complete turd of a second season. But that’s not the case and given the actors cast in the second season, it was never going to fail.
But what will Fargo Season 3 entail? At this point, we know every little. But I would wager that saying goodbye to the current cast of characters is definitely on the cards and I’m more than a little excited who season 3 will attract and what kind of story is going to be told.
