Marvel TV: Defenders Teaser, Daredevil Season 3 News & Luke Cage Trailer

The San Diego Comic Con is bringing it and bringing it early, with Marvel not only releasing a rather spectacular Defenders teaser trailer, but also weighing in on Daredevil Season 3 news.

You HAVE to check this out.

Marvel TV: The Defenders

Okay, The Defenders teaser trailer is short but oh so very sweet. It perhaps gives away more than you think at first watch. Take a look and I’ll discuss below.

You recognise the voice? Yup. That’s Stick. So I think we can gather two things from that little snippet:

1. Stick will appear in The Defenders show at some point. Presumably at the beginning to set the show up.
2. The Hand will very definitely be the villains of the piece. I mean, it makes sense right? If Stick’s involved, it’s the Hand. It ties right into the Daredevil series and provides the heroes with an endless bunch of ninja’s to punch. It’ll be interesting to see what the Hand are up to and if they bring a certain someone with them (Elektra).

Pretty tasty update, right? Also, the “Come as you are” soundtrack by Nirvana was a VERY good touch too.

Marvel TV: Daredevil Season 3 & Luke Cage

The Defenders trailer came from the Marvel panel at SDCC and at the same panel, they had a couple of other little tidbits to share with us all.

The first is that Daredevil Season 3 has officially been given the greenlight. It’s definitely happening folks! I can’t describe to you just how awesome that truly is.

There isn’t too much more information on that as it was just said at the panel, but here’s a report from Deadline Hollywood backing up the news.

Now there’s just one thing left to do. Sit back and enjoy the Luke Cage trailer.
